Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website, games, and services provided by Dunetech Trading Design and Software ("Dunetech", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our services you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use cheats, exploits, automation tools, or unauthorized third-party software.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify our games.
- Engage in harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity within the game.
- Sell, trade, or transfer your account.
- Use the services to infringe intellectual property rights.
Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
4. Pre-Orders & Purchases
Pre-orders for War of Islands tiers are subject to availability. By placing a pre-order you agree:
- The base game will be delivered at official launch.
- Founder cosmetics and bonuses will be granted at launch.
- Refunds are available within 14 days of pre-order, prior to alpha access activation.
- Once alpha access has been redeemed, refunds are at our discretion.
5. Virtual Currency & Items
Virtual currencies (Gold, Gems) and in-game items have no real-world value, are non-transferable outside the game, and grant a license to use within the service rather than ownership.
6. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, copyrights, designs, code, art, and content of Dunetech games and websites are owned by Dunetech or our licensors. You may not reproduce them without permission, except for fair-use commentary, review, or content creation in line with our community policy.
7. User-Generated Content
If you post content (chat messages, in-game creations, community posts), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it as part of providing the service. You retain ownership.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for legal reasons. You may terminate your account at any time via the settings menu or by contacting hello@dunetech.games.
9. Disclaimer of Warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dunetech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Dunetech Trading Design and Software is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-game notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
